Five medical device startups to watch

As technology and healthcare continue to intersect and make accessing and monitoring healthcare easier, medical device startups are one sector of the tech sphere making a lasting impact on the industry.

In the Midwest alone, healthcare startups raised more than $1 billion in the first half of 2016, with medical device companies raking in $226 million.

MedReps, an online resource for medical sales, has curated a list of five medical device companies to watch. The list ranges from Atomwise, a San Francisco-based company that uses artificial intelligence to discover new medicines, to Mountain View, California-based Madorra, who has made a medical device that treats vaginal dryness in women.
