Intralign Health names long-time healthcare businessman new CEO
Intralign Health, an operating room optimization solutions provider, has named a new CEO as it aims to improve its company’s profitability.
Sriram Iyer, who was previously president and CEO of RainTree Oncology, is taking the top position, the company said in a statement. Iyer will be replacing Rick Ferreria, founder of the company and who will be remaining a member of the company’s board.
"Having accomplished our goal of capturing tangible savings for hospitals by optimizing intra-operative processes, Intralign is now focused on creating value-based solutions that enable hospitals to thrive under payment reform,” Ferreria said in a statement. “We are excited to have Sriram lead Intralign's expansion, particularly given his expertise in healthcare analytics and value-based care."
Intralign, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, helps hospitals integrate technology and tools across a range of specialties, but mainly focuses on orthopedics.
Prior to working at RainTree, Iyer was the founder and CEO of Engage Health, a Washington, D.C.-based patient engagement company, and served as an executive at The Advisory Board Company, a research and consulting firm, also in D.C., that services more than 2,500 hospitals.
He holds a bachelor’s in computer science and economics from Dartmouth College and has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
