PrescribeWellness will offer Medicare plan software to Federation of Pharmacy Network members
PrescribeWellness and the Federation of Pharmacy Network (FPN), who have been working together over the last three years to improve pharmacists' and patients' access to healthcare, have announced that they have expanded their relationship to begin offering PrescribeWellness’ Medicare plan comparison software to FPN’s network.
PrescribeWellness, a cloud-based technology services company, is based out of Irvine, California. FPN, based out of Laguna Niguel, California, is a cooperative of 21 independent pharmacy group purchasing organizations that represent more than 15,000 independent pharmacies.
PrescribeMedicare is a Medicare plan evaluation software that gives pharmacists the ability to automatically upload a patient’s current prescriptions and forecast the monthly and yearly costs of it. It allows the patient to avoid having to manually enter their medications into the Medicare website, making it a convenient and quick way to process prescriptions for the pharmacist and the patient.
“We’ve had a tremendous partnership with the Federation of Pharmacy Networks and many of their member groups,” said Jay Williams, vice president of marketing and industry relations at PrescribeWellness, in a statement. “We are excited about the launch of PrescribeMedicare and believe it’s a powerful tool that can help pharmacies offer a new service to their Medicare patients and better manage this important group of patients.”
