Editorial: EMR implementation is broken
Electronic medical records are a source of great potential, but problems arise in the implementation of new record-keeping systems. In an editorial on The Huffington Post, one prominent voice says the system is broken because of reliance on bad data.
"The data will become accurate, complete and high-quality when the systems are built correctly, using modern techniques, and when they interact with all concerned parties — including patients!! — to get their jobs done," writes David Black, a venture capitalist focusing in technology.
