Leavitt Partners, Brookings merge to create new ACO collaborative
Two accountable care consulting firms will merge to create the largest accountable care collaborative.
The merger of Leavitt Partners' Accountable Care Cooperatie and the Brookings Institution's ACO Learning Network will result in a new nonprofit called the Accountable Care Learning Collaborative (ACLC). ACLC will be chaired by former Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Gov. Mike Leavitt and former Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator and U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Mark McClellan, MD, PhD.
Together under the ACLC, the organizations will provide knowledge, resources and insight for ACO members through conferences, an enhanced ACO database, industry updates, research and tools for ACO implementation and policy briefings, according to a release. The ACLC will be hosted by Western Governor's University in Salt Lake City and will offer a master's program in integrated healthcare management.
