HIT topics on FDA's guidance priority list

Several health IT issues are on the FDA's list of guidance priorities for 2015.

The agency broke its priorities out into three lists. The A list covers those guidance documents the agency intends to publish; the B list includes those the agency intends to publish if resources permit; and another list is of previously released guidance documents for which the agency is seeking "retrospective review."

The A list includes both final and draft guidance on medical device decision support software and unique device identifiers. The B list includes medical device interoperability and patient access to health data.
