Blackberry, NantHealth unveil cancer genome browser
Mobile communications giant Blackberry and NantHealth, a cloud-based big data health company, have unveiled a clinical genome browser that gives physicians unprecedented access to patients’ genetic data on the BlackBerry Passport smartphone, reports VentureBeat.
The NantOmics Cancer Genome Browser, which is fully encrypted, will enable deep, interactive reporting on genomics data for providers in a clinical setting. For example, it offers oncologists the ability to peer into the individual alternations that make each patient’s disease unique while highlighting treatment options.
