CMS to issue draft ACO regulations

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is expected to release draft regulations that revise and expand the use of accountable care contracts under the Medicare Shared Savings Program, reports Modern Healthcare

The Office of Management and Budget has finalized its review of the rule, which will determine whether there will be an option for existing accountable care organizations to avoid penalties.
