Nurses’ union accuses Dallas hospital of putting patients, clinicians at risk
A national nurses’ union is accusing Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas of putting healthcare workers at risk in its handling of the U.S. Ebola case, according to USA Today.
In a press conference, representatives of National Nurses United said nurses assigned to care for Ebola-infected Thomas Eric Duncan weren’t given proper training or protective equipment, and that Duncan was left in an area with other patients for hours after he was diagnosed.
