N.J. provider launches coding business to help others transition to ICD-10
The North Shore-LIJ Health System has launched HealthForce, a new business unit that offers medical coding services to healthcare organizations across the country.
Staffed with more than 100 experienced coders, HealthForce services will assist healthcare providers with accurate coding so they are prepared for the transition to ICD-10 in October 2015.
“HealthForce is committed to quality and compliance. Our medical records coders have all gone through quality checks,” said Cyndi Thomas, vice president of business development, in a statement. “They are trained, supervised and mentored under the same strict standards operating at North Shore-LIJ. Our coders have a proven track record of success in seeing projects through from start to finish.”
