U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Extends Bosch Healthcare’s Telehealth Contract Robert Bosch Healthcare Systems Inc.

Robert Bosch Healthcare Systems Inc. (Bosch Healthcare) the market leader in evidence-based telehealth solutions today announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has exercised its third option to extend the term of the contract for Home Telehealth Devices and Services with Bosch Healthcare. The term of this option year began May 15, 2014 and extends the contract to May 14, 2015.

For more than a decade VA facilities across the country have been using Bosch Healthcare’s Health Buddy System to monitor patients remotely and enhance patient care for veterans through its Care Coordination Home Telehealth (CCHT) program.

The Health Buddy System guides the patient through an interactive series of questions that collects data on symptoms and vital signs medication compliance and condition-specific knowledge. It also provides educational content about the patient’s condition and supports positive health behavior changes.

The care manager is able to review results in a risk-stratified manner in order to manage his/her work efficiently. This model of technology-enabled care management has proven successful in improving care for hundreds of thousands of veterans with chronic medical and mental health conditions.
