Greenway acquires patient engagement solution PeopleLYNK

Greenway Medical Technologies, a Ga.-based IT company, has acquired PeopleLYNK, a patient engagement solution. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

By purchasing PeopleLYNK, Greenway aims to extend its patient engagement services to foster improved population health and patient satisfaction—major goals of Meaningul Use Stage 2.

PeopleLYNK promotes patient engagement in cooperation with PrimeSUITE, Greenway’s integrated practice management and EHR solution. Based on criteria in PrimeSUITE established by the provider organization, PeopleLYNK automates certain interactions with patients, including reminders, lab results, prescription notifications, clinical alerts and other communications.

"Over time" all Greenway customers will benefit from PeopleLYN’s capabilities, according to the announcement.
