ONC puts call out for new HITPC, standards committee members
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) is actively recruiting new members for two of its federal advisory committees (FACAs): the Health IT Standards Committee (HITSC) and the Health IT Policy Committee (HITPC), according to a Feb. 5 blog post by ONC Health IT Policy Analyst Michelle Consolazio.
The HITSC prefers applicants with expertise in the following areas: consumer/patient representative; technical expertise, electronic exchange; and technical experience, quality. The HITPC policy committee is looking for public health representatives.
“The extraordinary work of our FACAs often result in recommendations to the national coordinator. All deliberations are held publicly, promoting transparency throughout the recommendations process,” wrote Consolazio.
ONC asks individuals interested in joining these committees to submit an application here by March 3, 12:00pm.
