Application period open for entities seeking ONC-AA status

The Office for the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) announced a 30-day period for applicant organizations seeking to become ONC-Approved Accreditors (AA).

The announcements comes as the American National Standards Institute’s current term for the ONC-AA is set to expire in June. Interested organizations are required to apply for ONC-AA status by Feb. 14 for the next three-year term.

Accreditation organizations requesting ONC-AA status must submit a written request to the national coordinator. For further instructions on what must be contained in the request, see the related Federal Register notice.
