Pilot launching for automated data transfer, translation
A new partnership will use the Automated Data Intake Program (ADI) to extract data from UHC members' IT systems, seamlessly transfer the data to UHC and translate data from disparate systems for comparison. UHC is a Chicago-based alliance of 118 academic medical centers and 298 affiliated member hospitals.
The ADI Program will be deployed at NYU Langone Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic.
The ADI Program is expected to save valuable labor time at UHC member organizations by eliminating the manual transfer of data and granting more timely access to much more accurate patient outcome benchmarks. In addition, instant access to their customized data warehouses will allow senior-level executives to analyze trends and more efficiently guide operational and clinical decisions.
In a release, Steve Meurer, PhD, MBA, MHS, UHC senior vice president, comparative data and informatics, said the "seamless integration of data will allow members to access the information they have always dreamed of to fuel improvements in their organization."
UHC expects to begin launching the ADI at all member organizations by the end of 2013.
