New MU FAQs available

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued four new frequently asked questions (FAQs) related to the Meaningful Use program, including substantial new guidance on the Stage 2 transitions of care measures.

The information includes three approaches providers can take to meet the requirement that more than 10 percent of the summary of care records provided for transitions of care and referrals be electronically transmitted, who can use the computerized provider order entry (CPOE) function of an EHR and when to expect corrections to the clinical quality measure objectives.

CMS also updated five other FAQs.
