Cerner acquires behavioral health tech firm

Cerner has reached an agreement to acquire Anasazi Software, a developer of behavioral health technology, for an undisclosed sum.

The combination of Cerner Millennium, including inpatient behavioral health, and Anasazi’s community behavioral health solutions will create a offering and allow behavioral health providers access to data to aid in care transitions.

Anasazi has offered a technology line designed to provide an all-inclusive approach to behavioral health care for more than 20 years. Anasazi’s suite of technologies include an EHR, managed care technology, practice management/billing, cost accounting and e-prescribing systems as well as fiscal, human resource, assessment, treatment planning and progress noting components.

The acquisition is anticipated to close in November and is not expected to have a material impact on Cerner’s financial results.
