Cerner, Nuance partner on mobile EHR technologies
Cerner and Nuance Communications have signed an expanded agreement in which Cerner will embed Nuance’s cloud-based medical voice recognition into its full portfolio of mobile EHR technologies.
The companies expect the integration to create a new class of mobile healthcare technologies on phones and tablets that enable clinicians to capture patient notes, navigate applications and search for information, according to a statement.
In addition, Cerner and Nuance announced the availability and integration of Nuance’s radiology reporting suite, PowerScribe 360, with Cerner’s RadNet Radiology Information System. This technology will allow radiologists to dictate reports that are integrated with the patient record.
PowerChart Touch is a mobile, cloud-based technology that is part of the Millennium+ portfolio. Nuance’s 360 | SpeechAnywhere medical voice recognition, the technology that is embedded within PowerChart Touch, is cloud-based.
