Spain marks its first Stage 7 hospital

The Marina Salud Hospital de Dénia in Denia, Spain, has achieved Stage 7 of the EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics Europe announced.

It is the first hospital in Spain and the second hospital in Europe to achieve the highest rating on HIMSS Analytics’ EMRAM scale.

Stage 7 is awarded to those hospitals that have achieved a paperless medical record environment. At Hospital de Dénia, all the nurses and physicians document their clinical notes online, thus results and impressions are available for all care givers to see instantly, added the Leipzig, Germany-based HIMSS Analytics Europe.
