Eight Pa. hospitals unite as Commonwealth Health

A network of eight northeastern Pennsylvania hospitals has united under the name Commonwealth Health. Cornelio Catenea, CEO, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, was appointed the CEO of the network, although each individual hospital’s leadership will remain in place.

The eight hospitals are:

  • Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre;
  • Berwick Hospital in Berwick;
  • First Hospital in Kingston;
  • Mid-Valley Hospital in Scranton;
  • Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton;
  • Regional Hospital of Scranton;
  • Special Care Hospital in Nanticoke; and
  • Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock.
