Florida health system selects eClinicalWorks

BayCare Health System, a community-based health system in the Tampa Bay area, will provide eClinicalWorks’ EHR technology to its approximately 3,000 physicians.

BayCare has a team that helps physicians throughout the eClinicalWorks implementation process, from workflow to IT infrastructure and training.

As part of eClinicalWorks’ complete EHR technology, BayCare will implement the following:
  • eClinicalWorks EMR, which enables clinicians to manage patient flow, access patient records in-house or remotely, electronically communicate with the referring physicians and send consult notes and clinical data;
  • eClinicalWorks Patient Portal, which allows patients and doctors to communicate securely via the internet;
  • eBO, which performs clinical and financial analytics;
  • eClinicalMobile, which permits physicians to access the system through their smartphone;
  • eClinicalMessenger, which acts as a messaging service that utilizes Voice-over-IP (VoIP) to enable physician practices to send messages, in batches or singularly, to patients for aspects of care, including appointment reminders, lab results, diagnostic imaging and statements;
  • eClinicalWorks P2P, which provides practice-to-practice, provider-to-provider communications in a peer-to-peer environment; and
  • eEHX, which serves as a hub to provide physicians with improved access to patients’ health information and allow them to exchange data with each other and with BayCare Health System’s Cerner inpatient EMR system.

Through a business relationship with Dell, BayCare and eClinicalWorks can support clients’ hardware or networking installation, according to eClinicalWorks, of Westborough, Mass.
