Black Book Rankings grades inpatient EHR vendors
Black Book Rankings has released its annual rankings of the EHR vendors for inpatient settings. A division of the Brown-Wilson Group, a market research firm, Black Book Rankings surveyed 12,075 healthcare system stakeholders familiar with EMRs and graded their rankings of 422 EHR vendors against 18 separate performance areas.

Other vendors receiving high rankings include Eclipsys, Healthcare Management Systems, Healthland, McKesson, Meditech, NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Quadramed and Siemens Healthcare.

- GE Healthcare, the top-ranked vendor for teaching hospitals and hospitals with more than 250 beds;
- Cerner, the top-ranked vendor for community hospitals with 101 to 249 beds and the top-ranked vendor for hospital chains and integrated delivery networks;
- CPSI, the top-ranked vendor for hospitals with fewer than 100 beds; and
- Picis, the top-ranked vendor in client satisfaction among emergency department personnel.
