Toshiba introduces 16-channel MR flex coils

Toshiba America Medical Systems has unveiled a high-density 16-channel flexible coil system. The work-in-progress is an enhancement to its Vantage Titan MR systems.

With availability targeted for the Vantage Titan 1.5T and 3T systems, the 16-channel coil system conforms closer to the anatomy for signal-to-noise ratio, according to Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba. The coils are planned to be available in small, medium and large sizes, and are suited for pediatrics and general musculoskeletal applications.

Other enhancements include M-Power, a technologist user interface available as an upgrade for installed systems, and also available on Toshiba’s Vantage Atlas and Vantage Titan 1.5T and 3T MR systems.

Non-contrast CSF Flow Visualization is also available for M-Power equipped systems. This new application of Toshiba’s Time-Spatial Labeling Inversion Pulse non-contrast technique enables clinicians to evaluate cerebrospinal fluid flow disorders.
