MedData acquires Data Management

MedData, a provider of medical billing services, has acquired Peoria, Ill.-based Data Management, which provides physician billing services to pathologists and emergency departments.

The acquisition of Data Management adds pathology billing to MedData’s current billing specialties which include emergency medicine, hospitalists and wound care, the Brecksville, Ohio-based company stated.

The acquisition is expected to be fully integrated by the end of this year. Pathology operations will remain in Peoria, which will serve as the hub for MedData’s new pathology billing business. Financial details were not disclosed.
