FDA green-lights GEs Discovery MR

GE Healthcare has received FDA clearance for the Discovery MR750w wide-bore 3T MR system.

The system features the GEM (Geometry Embracing Method) suite of coils and a 50 x 50 x 50 cm field of view, according to Waukesha, Wis.-based GE Healthcare. It is designed to accommodate patients who are usually difficult to scan, such as larger, claustrophobic, elderly or very young patients, or those who are in pain and require a larger imaging system.
