NQF names Kennedy VP for health IT

The National Quality Forum (NQF) has named Rosemary Kennedy, PhD, vice president for health IT. Kennedy joins NQF from Siemens Medical Solutions, where for seven years she was the chief nursing informatics officer.

According to the Washington, D.C.-based NQF, Kennedy will provide leadership and strategic direction to NQF’s health IT portfolio, including efforts to promote e-measure development and implementation, new versions of the quality data model and enhancements to the measure authoring tool, a web-based tool for building standardized e-measures.

During her time at Siemens, Kennedy shaped the organization’s vision and provided leadership to develop and implement clinical information tools. She is currently an associate professor in Thomas Jefferson University’s School of Nursing in Philadelphia.
