Jones becomes Meditech's lead physician

Steven Jones, MD, family practice physician, will join Meditech as the company's lead physician for electronic health record (EHR) development efforts, as well as across multiple clinical projects.

Throughout his tenure at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, N.H., Jones was an informatics physician in addition to his specialties in obstetrics and gynecology, and family medicine, according to Meditech, of Westwood, Mass. Jones has been a member of Meditech's physician advisory committee.

Jones was involved in the implementation and ongoing development of the outpatient EMR solution at Lamprey Healthcare, a network of New Hampshire clinics. The company's EMR project received the HIMSS Davies Award of Excellence in 2008.
