Carestream launches mobile DR

Carestream Health has launched Carestream DRX-Revolution mobile x-ray system as a works-in-progress.

Designed for compatibility with other Carestream DRX products, the system incorporates a 32kW generator, DRX detector and software that enables the radiographer to align the tube with the grid, according to Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream.

The mobile DR system also features a collapsible column and has two monitors (the main 19-inch monitor and the eight-inch tube head monitor) that provide two work zones.

Carestream DRX-Revolution uses the same software and graphic user interface as other Carestream DRX products. The DRX-1/DRX-1C wireless detector can be used in multiple x-ray systems at a facility.

The DRX-Revolution system will be available in the U.S. contingent upon FDA clearance, with worldwide availability planned for mid-2012.
