Nuance updates Dragon Medical portfolio

Nuance Communications has released Dragon Medical Practice Edition, which seeks to help clinicians and healthcare organizations to create medical notes into any EHR.

Dragon Medical Practice contains additional features geared for physicians in small practices, said the Burlington, Mass.-based company, including:
  • Smart configuration, which performs on systems from netbooks to servers.
  • Recognition analytics, which detects poor audio input caused by incorrect microphone connection or placement, background noise and when the microphone is out of range or low on battery. When any of these issues are detected, Dragon will alert the user and offer advice to remedy.
