Symmetry Medical to purchase Olsen Medical
Symmetry Medical has signed an agreement to purchase Olsen Medical’s assets in an all-cash transaction, upon meeting all pre-closing conditions. The sum was not disclosed.
Olsen, based in Louisville, Ky., sells single-use and reusable bipolar and monopolar forceps, cords, electrosurgical pens and pencils, electrodes and accessories. Warsaw, Ind.-based Symmetry, a supplier of orthopedic implants, surgical instruments, sterilization cases, trays and other medical devices, anticipates the transaction will be neutral to its 2011 financial results, excluding acquisition and integration-related charges, and that it will be accretive to its 2012 financial results, according to the release.
