Memphis health org selects RelayHealth for enterprise HIE

Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care has selected business integration developer RelayHealth to establish an enterprise health information exchange (HIE) to improve care coordination in three states.

The RelayHealth HIE tool will facilitate electronic communications and support the health system’s patient and physician satisfaction initiative, according to RelayHealth, of Atlanta.

Baptist Memorial Health Care’s clinical integration objectives are to put in place an enterprise HIE that connects multiple EHR deployments for the organization's 250 employed physicians, and then expand to its affiliated physicians’ community.

After establishing this connectivity, Baptist Memorial Health Care plans to connect to the local and state HIEs across Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas, the company added.
