Toshiba to demo cardiac imaging systems at PICS-AICS

The Pediatric and Adult Interventional Cardiac Symposium (PICS-AICS) in Boston will showcase Toshiba America Medical Systems x-ray and ultrasound systems during three live interventional cases.

Two cases, performed at Miami Children’s Hospital in Florida and St. Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri, will utilize Toshiba’s Infinix CF-i bi-plane cardiovascular x-ray system, the Tustin, Calif.-based company said. In addition, physicians at the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in Boston will use Toshiba’s Aplio Artida ultrasound, in conjunction with the Infinix-i system, to display the system’s 3D technology and adult motor-driven transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) transducer.
