AAMI releases sterilization benchmark platform

A web-based benchmarking platform released by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) allows providers to evaluate their sterilization standards by comparing their data anonymously with other hospitals.

The platform allows managers to fill out a survey with more than 130 benchmarking measures—such as staffing, budgeting, productivity levels and error rates—and helps providers examine a department’s relationship with clinicians, and the role of sterilization processing in the hospital.

Options within the site allow users to compare their data with different hospital demographics throughout the U.S.
