Four states launch Medicaid EHR incentive programs

Rhode Island, Connecticut, Arizona and West Virginia joined the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program on July 4, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reported. Eligible professionals and eligible hospitals in these states will be able to complete their EHR Incentive Program registration at the state level.

To date, 21 states have launched Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs, and 14 states have issued incentive payments to Medicaid eligible professionals and eligible hospitals that have adopted, implemented or upgraded certified EHR technology, according to CMS.
