Ascom Wireless Solutions, supplier of onsite mobile mission-critical communications, and Enterasys Networks, provider of wired and wireless network infrastructure and security tools, have certified interoperability between the Ascom i62 Voice-over-WiFi handset and the Enterasys 3600 series wireless access points.
The technologies were jointly tested at the Ascom Interoperability Lab and the Enterasys Wireless Interoperability Lab, according to Andover, Mass.-based Enterasys. The interoperability testing started with an emphasis on basic connectivity, with further testing for high security, mobility and performance during roaming.
Ongoing interoperability testing will be performed for new software releases or feature enhancements to ensure continual interoperability between the companies' tools, Enterasys added.
