Kentucky hospital selects HMS EHR product suite

Monroe County Medical Center has selected Healthcare Management Systems (HMS) to provide the facility with a full suite of integrated electronic health record (EHR) products.

The Kentucky Health Information Exchange (KHIE) is one of the first of its kind to launch and connect with in-state hospitals; the Tompkinville, Ky.-based Monroe County Medical Center plans to link with it as soon as possible using HMS Connex.

The HMS platform enables EHR integration with existing systems, submission of data to federal and state entities, and exchange of clinical data across multiple healthcare enterprises, according to the Nashville, Tenn.-based developer of integrated clinical and financial hospital information systems.
