Availity is EHNAC-certified for 5010 readiness

Availity has been recognized by the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC), a nonprofit standards development organization and accrediting body, for achieving the requirements of EHNAC’s 5010 Readiness Assessment Program.

To fulfill these requirements, the company said it met or exceeded planning and preparation activities consistent with the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' guidelines for analysis, testing and implementation of the 5010 version of HIPAA transactions, mandated for use after Jan. 1, 2012.

The Jacksonville, Fla.-based company demonstrated readiness in the following areas:
• Gap analysis:
• System impact analysis;
• Business process impact analysis;
• Project planning;
• Timeline for implementation;
• Testing plans;
• Implementation planning; and
• Contingency planning.
