TeraRecon highlights iNtuition

TeraRecon is sharing iNtuition’s integration and interconnectivity capabilities at the annual meeting of the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), June 2-5 in Washington, D.C. and emphasizing the adoption of the company’s iNtuition Cloud managed software-as-a-service offering, at the 92nd Deutsche Roentgenkongress in Hamburg, Germany June 2-3

iNtuition has previously been integrated to the major PACS via its open integration interface with command-line and URL launch options for the iNtuition Client, which also allows integration to other healthcare informatics systems including RIS and EMR.

At SIIM 2011, new enhancements now enable the same level of integration for iNtuition deployments via the Virtual Client Concentrator (VCC), which provides browser-based operation of the suite of iNtuition thin-client advanced visualization tools, for enterprise management of client machines, said the Foster City, Calif.-based provider of advanced visualization technology. In addition, the technology can be leveraged with integration to iNtuition Cloud.

TeraRecon also is sharing new features to support cross-deployment between in-house iNtuition technology, private cloud deployments based on VCC and the internet-based iNtuition Cloud service offering.

New Reverse Upload technology makes possible the return of DICOM results created in the Cloud to an in-house PACS and allows complete integration of the iNtuition Cloud service into the diagnostic workflow.

At the 92nd Deutsche Roentgenkongress, TeraRecon shared that iNtuition Cloud has surpassed 1,000 signups globally, with EU signups progressing at the rate of more than 50 per month, stated Robert Taylor, PhD, president.

iNtuition Cloud makes the suite of iNtuition advanced visualization and decision support tools available via a web browser, with no requirement for in-house server hardware and a reduced requirement for in-house IT management, the company explained.

At Deutsche Roentgenkongress, TeraRecon is launching is iNtuition’s Reverse Upload technology, which makes possible the return of derived DICOM results from the cloud, to the originating site’s PACS or vendor-neutral archive.
