Orange County hospital agrees to MobileMD HIE services

Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) has struck an agreement with MobileMD that will enable the Orange, Calif.-based pediatric facility to provide health information exchange (HIE) services to more than 800 physicians and 1,000 referring physicians.

MobileMD 4D HIE provides clinical and administrative data exchange between all providers caring for patients within a community regardless of location, EMR technology or vendor, MobileMD, of Warminster, Pa., stated.

The company will deploy its 4D HIE comprised of its flagship products, 4DX Intelligence Engine Network and 4DX Clinical Portal, to assist critical care information flow among community physician partners and facilitate physician alignment across CHOC's provider network.
