MedPro opens transducer repair facility

MedPro Imaging has expanded its operations with the opening of an ultrasound transducer repair facility.

The Longmont, Colo.-based, 5,000-square foot facility offers computer-based transducer repair services designed to counter a growing emphasis in the industry on probe exchange programs.

The Longmont facility will also manufacture MPI ProbeLab, ultrasound transducer repair packages featuring computer-based technology designed to enable hospitals and networks to perform probe repairs in-house. The scalable ProbeLab packages will include computer-based probe repair devices and processes, according to the Waukesha, Wis.-based provider of new and refurbished ultrasound solutions.
