Skyscape and ACC partner to launch mobile app

Skyscape, a subsidiary of Physicians Interactive Holdings, and the American College of Cardiology (ACC) have partnered to launch the CardioSource Mobile app, which combines a full set of American Heart Association and ACC guideline recommendations and evidence-based medicine information from CardioSource.org.

The application was presented at this year’s annual ACC scientific sessions in New Orleans and according to Marlborough, Mass.-based Skyscape, the app has already been downloaded almost 4,000 times.

The app was launched with cardiologists in mind and provides a comprehensive guide to patient care by providing a quick, on-the-go reference tool. The ACC member version of the application is constantly updated with the most current information and also includes videos, journals and blog entries.

In addition, Skyscape said that other resources available include:

  • Journal scan
  • CardioSource video news
  • ACC inTouch blogs
  • Practice guidelines
  • Clinical trials
  • JACC journals; and
  • A cardiology resource pack
