Dell deploys virtual Meditech desktops

Dell Services has launched a mobile clinical computing automation tool for healthcare organizations that use the Meditech Health Care Information System.

Mobile Clinical Computing for Meditech is designed for flexible deployment in hospitals and extended communities, according to Plano, Texas-based Dell. Mobile Clinical Computing provides virtual, secure desktop infrastructure for organizations that have Meditech's HCIS installed. The Dell package uses VMware's View virtualization technology and Forward Advantage's im-one API management software, as well as Imprivata OneSign single sign-on capabilities, Dell stated.
