Puerto Rico REC names Abel preferred EHR

Abel Medical Software, a medical and dental EHR provider, has been designated a preferred certified EHR vendor by the Ponce School of Medicine Regional Extension Center (REC) for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

AbelMed EHR-EMR/PM v11 offers clinical and practice management and e-prescribing capabilities to physicians, according to the Buffalo, N.Y.-based company. AbelMed includes integrated billing and submits electronic claims through Assertus, a Guaynabo, Puerto Rico-based administrative service provider, Abel stated.
