2 Oregon entities team up for EHR adoption

Mid-Valley Public Health Authority (MVPHA) and O-HITEC, Oregon's Health IT Extension Center, have partnered to promote physicians' adoption of EHR in the state of Oregon.

O-HITEC will work with MVPHA member practices, providing a menu of consulting services to assist MVPHA providers in meeting meaningful use measures so they can qualify for EHR incentives, the Portland-based organizations stated.

Both organizations stated they are committed to informing providers of the value of EHRs as a vehicle to reduce duplicity, improve patient care and reduce costs.
