Iron Media's VoIP system debuts in clinical settings

Iron Media has released its MD-oriented voice-over-IP (VoIP) system for connecting medical professionals, patients and families via video, voice and chat capabilities.

Iron Media’s GRP-Touch, GRP-TV and GRP Mobile technology are being applied to training, specialist consultations and online patient visits, among other uses, according to New York-based Iron Media.

Standard calls are routed through the existing phone system, without negating or revising systems that are already in place. Clinicians can use the system to exchange information from the bedside, and VoIP-based video and chat capabilities occur without the need for additional software or interfaces, the company stated.
