Tampa General, Advocate move to Microsoft cloud

Microsoft announced several new organizations have chosen its suite of cloud applications, Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS).

Tampa General Hospital has moved to Microsoft Exchange Online and is rolling out the full suite of Microsoft communications and collaboration services, including Microsoft SharePoint Online, to enhance collaboration and productivity.

Advocate Health Care, the largest healthcare provider in Illinois, has given 29,000 employees subscriptions to Microsoft Exchange Online and replaced its aging e-mail servers, according to Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft. The move will enable Advocate employees working across multiple locations to have faster access to the latest e-mail software. 

Microsoft Exchange Online has reduced Advocate’s IT staff e-mail management time by half, the company added.
