Midwestern health group to deploy Cerner platform

Bethesda Health Group, a senior care and services organization in St. Louis, Mo., has begun utilizing Cerner's Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) platform, built on the company's BeyondNow software architecture.
Bethesda was selected to serve as one of Cerner's development partners due to the breadth of its post-acute continuum for senior care and services.

Two Bethesda facilities are currently utilizing Cerner data management tools, with plans to expand to the remaining seven facilities in the group. The first two facilities are utilizing Cerner to handle operations from back-office functions to resident care encounters.

SNF residents often have complex medical requirements. The Cerner BeyondNow architecture enables providers to coordinate and manage care across the post-acute continuum, according to Cerner, based in Kansas City, Mo. Later this year, Bethesda will begin utilizing Cerner's home health, private duty and hospice care tools.
