Florida practice purchases Carestream DRX-Evolution suite

Doctors Imaging Group in Gainesville, Fla., has selected Carestream’s dual-detector DRX-Evolution wireless system for the practice’s DR suite.

Carestream’s DRX-Evolution is a cassette-size wireless detector placed in the buckys of the wallstand and table, with both systems removable for extremity, cross table or other exams. According to the Rochester, N.Y.-based company, the x-ray suite captures images in five seconds, then transmits them to PACS via wireless network.

Carestream Health develops x-ray, molecular imaging and IT systems for medical and dental imaging as well as research. Doctors Imaging Group is a four-center group that conducts imaging over a variety of modalities.
