Florida med facility to install athenaCollector

St. Vincent’s HealthCare (SVHC), a nonprofit regional medical facility in Jacksonville, Fla., will deploy health IT company athenahealth’s cloud-based physician medical billing and practice management service, athenaCollector, to its network of medical providers.

athenaCollector will help shift administrative functions away from SVHC’s network of providers, allowing them to focus on patient care, the Watertown, Mass.-based company stated.

As part of its athenaCollector service, athenahealth offers a knowledge-base of payor reimbursement process rules--the athenaNet rules engine--designed to enforce medical office workflow requirements, the company added.
