API releases new workplace management tech

API Healthcare has released API Healthcare Synergy, a single-platform workforce management tool.

API Healthcare Synergy’s technology uses real-time data to identify patient needs and helps managers make patient-caregiver matches based on available nurses and their skill sets, according to the Hartford, Wis.-based healthcare workplace management technology developer.

In addition, the open shift management tools help employees choose their own schedules, trade shifts or request shifts and mobile device communications allow managers to fill shifts by broadcasting openings available to employees using test messages, e-mails and voicemail, the company said.

Integrated technology provides managers with real-time insight into the complete labor picture, assisting with the analysis of an organization’s staffing needs and costs, API stated.
